ONE DAY CLASS
Saturday, October 30th, 2010
A One Day Masonic Journey is a unique opportunity for men who want to join the Masonic fraternity, but who dont have the usual time it takes to go through the degrees over a period of several months due to their jobs, family, or other circumstances.
This opportunity hasnt been offered since 2005 and doesnt happen every year. If you have been thinking about joining Freemasonry, but the time commitment hasnt been convenient, this might be your best opportunity to become a part of the worlds oldest and greatest fraternity!
Depending on your interests, finances and time, you may also want to join the Scottish Rite, a philosophical branch of Freemasonry that confers the 4th through the 32nd Degrees, and the Shrine, which is probably the best known social and philanthropic organization connected with Freemasonry. You could become a Master Mason, a Scottish Rite Mason, and a Shrine Mason all in one day!
Costs for joining a Lodge vary by location, but in general, there will be an initiation fee of several hundred dollars and pro-rated annual dues for the last two months of the 2010 year. To determine your exact cost, you will need to file a petition and have it accepted by a local Lodge. We can help you make that local contact and start you on your Masonic journey. Please refer to the information on our HOW TO JOIN page.
The One Day Masonic Journey will be held in 13 different locations across the state, and the ritual presentations will be conferred by all-star teams, so you will be sure to see the very best work the Masonic fraternity has to offer. Although you will be taking your degrees with hundreds of other candidates, you will participate, and a mentor will be assigned to work with you and see you through the ceremonies, answering your questions and guiding you throughout the day.
